Transportation planner deviating sizes

Helicopter view. Planned. Commercial. As a Transport Planner Deviant Sizes , you are responsible for efficiently and cost-effectively scheduling transport orders, personnel and Van Der Werff Logistics’ fleet of vehicles. Together with 12 enthusiastic colleagues, you are responsible for rides for and from a predetermined region and directing inbound and outbound activities. Your working hours jump and vary between 7:00 a.m. and no later than 8:00 p.m. .

Van der Werff Logistics is the specialist when it comes to transporting shipments with abnormal sizes, including building materials. Bulky and industrial products are also part of the daily cargo flow. Therefore, scheduling transportation assignments requires creativity and insight. In your role, you will always know who is driving where in which car, keep an overview and solve any problems. You are decisive, can move quickly and communicate easily at all levels. As a planner, you will supervise and instruct drivers and maintain contact with clients. In short, a versatile position in the dynamic world of transportation. You will work from the Heerenveen location and report to the Operations Manager.

Job requirements Transportation planner odd sizes

• HBO working and thinking level, preferably towards logistics;
• minimum 2 years experience within the transportation industry or similar position;
• affinity for construction and building materials is a plus;
• Planned, decisive, commercial and analytical;
• creative and customer-oriented; 
• Stress resistant and a genius at multitasking;
• Experience with computerized scheduling systems;
• Knowledge of regulations regarding transportation;
• good geographical knowledge;
• no 8 to 5 mentality;
• Good command of English and German is a plus;
• Living near Heerenveen.
