Operations Manager

Strong organizer, communicatively strong and systematic thinker. We are looking for an experienced operations manager who wants to build a transportation company on the eve of further professionalization. 

Ecotrans Logistics organizes transport, cross-docking and warehousing for bagged goods and became part of the Nijhof Wassink Group in 2020. Under your leadership, the organization will become more full-service logistics provider every day. This means that you will be responsible for setting up and further automating customer-driven processes. You, along with the team, will thereby determine the future for Ecotrans Logistics. In this, it is necessary that you have vision and keep an overview, but also keep a close eye on the details. Within your portfolio, you optimally support your clients with their logistics issues.

While coaching, you are a manager for the employees and ensure a pleasant working environment. As operations manager, you are indirectly in charge of more than 60fte of personnel: six planners (including the planning team leader), warehousing and the drivers who drive the 40 trucks. In addition, some 25 regular charters drive the schedule daily. You keep the overview in the financial area, processes, quality and in the various improvement and implementation projects. • Hbo+ working and thinking level;
• Experience as an operations manager in logistics;
• Experience with supply chain optimizations;
• communicative and commercially strong;
• Can think systemically and work in a project-based manner well.
